Huckybucky Forest is a made up little world that in many ways resemble our own big world.
Claus Climbermouse, Morten Woodmouse, Father Bear, Marvin Fox and all the other animals are not ordinary animals, but made up characters that have both human and animal sides. They have a lot in common with the animals they are named after, but they walk on two legs and live in houses and wear clothes.
Besides, they are a lot like us humans in a lot of what they do and say and think.
In Hucky Bucky Forest there is also a longing for peace, safety and respect – just like in our world.
Morten Woodmouse puts it like this: We could have a great life here in the forest if everyone could be friends.
The big animals could help the little ones, and the little ones could help the big ones, because there are a lot of things that small animals can do that the big ones can’t.”
